One of the project aims is to create a specialized large-scale map (1: 200000) based on analyses of abiotic data (e.g. air temperature, precipitation, indices related to the phenomenon of drought). The map will show areas with the highest risk of drought and streams or stream sections that are most vulnerable to drying. The map will be confronted with the response of biota in streams and validated using historical and newly acquired data on the occurrence of dry episodes. It can serve for designing protection measures to adapt to and minimize the consequences of climate change.
